Welcome to Cliick!

At Cliick, your privacy is our top priority. We built Cliick to be a private messaging platform for trusted connections – without ads, hidden tracking, or data monetization. This Privacy Policy describes what Deranged Chicken LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collect (and what we don’t), how we use and protect it, and the rights you have regarding your data.

By using Cliick, you agree to this Policy. If we make material updates, we’ll notify you in the app.

1. Eligibility

Cliick is intended for users aged 13 and older. Users under 18 may only use the app with parental consent. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Aside from content users intentionally choose to share (such as photos or messages), we do not request or store names, email addresses, phone numbers, or similar identifiers from anyone. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

2. What We Collect (and What We Don’t)

We collect only the minimum information required to operate the app. This includes:

We do not collect names, phone numbers, email addresses, birthdays, contact lists, precise location data, or advertising identifiers. We do not monitor your activity outside Cliick or create behavioral profiles.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to provide, maintain, and secure the Cliick service. Specifically:

We do not access, review, or scan the content of your messages or media for advertising, profiling, or recommendations, and we do not sell your data.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on limited third-party services to support core app functionality:

These providers may process limited data solely to perform their contractual functions and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose. For more details, see their respective privacy policies.

5. Data Security

Cliick encrypts data in transit and at rest using industry-standard security practices. Access to user data is restricted to essential personnel only. While no system is entirely secure, we continuously review and improve our protections.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

You control your data. You may delete your account or content at any time from within the app while you are signed in through Apple or Google.

Because Cliick accounts are not email-based, we cannot accept account deletion requests from an unauthenticated email. Support can help you regain access through your sign-in provider so you can delete in-app; if you cannot recover access through Apple or Google, deletion may not be possible.

When you delete your account, your profile and account identifiers are removed from our active databases, and backup copies are purged within 30 days.

To preserve group history, content you posted in Cliicks owned by other users may remain visible to other participants after your account is deleted, but it will no longer be linked to your profile or account (de-identified).

We retain technical logs (such as crash reports and basic connection data) for no longer than 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted.

7. International Data Transfers

Cliick’s servers are located in the United States. If you use the app outside the U.S., your data may be transferred here.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your location (e.g., under GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights to:

Account deletion is self-serve in the app while you are signed in.

For privacy questions or rights requests (such as access to a copy of your data, corrections, or other requests), contact us at privacy@cliick.com.

California Residents: We do not sell or share your personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

9. Cookies, Tracking & Technical Logs

Cliick does not use advertising cookies, behavioral trackers, fingerprinting scripts, analytics SDKs, or profiling tools. We rely only on strictly necessary technical logging and operational metrics (e.g., server error logs, uptime and performance monitoring, security/abuse prevention checks) to keep the service functioning securely. These logs are not used to build behavioral profiles, for advertising, or for content personalization.

10. Legal Disclosures

We may disclose limited data if required by law or to prevent misuse, fraud, or harm to others. We do not share user data for commercial purposes. In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by applicable law.

11. Policy Updates

We may revise this Privacy Policy as needed for technical, legal, or service updates. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the latest version.
